The Hokies and the Cavaliers faced off in an in-state Volleyball battle with Virginia prevailing 3 sets to 2 over Virginia Tech. Virginia's Elayna Duprey tallied 13 kills and 8 digs in the match to go along with teammate Abby Tadder's 12 kills and 21 assists. Virginia moves to 18-6 overall and 8-5 in ACC play on the season.
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons defeated the Syracuse Orange, 2-1 in the first round of the ACC Men's Soccer Championships. Wake's Cooper Flax tied the game in the 69th minute and Travis Smith Jr's. goal in the 82nd minutes gave the Demon Deacons the lead and the win. Wake Forest advances to play SMU in the quarterfinals.
