Vanessa Mann - Director of Coaching at Reno APEX Soccer Club - a US Soccer Youth National Team scout; USWYNT Assistant Coach; USSF ‘A” licensed Coach and a US Soccer Coach License Instructor, has top level credentials and a reputation of building successful programs with strong cultures. With past experience including Women’s Head Coach at University of Maryland Baltimore; Technical Director of Oregon Youth Soccer Association; Assistant Coach at William and Mary; and Co-Founder of Legacy Football Club, Vanessa has experience across the full spectrum of youth and collegiate soccer. Having been a US Soccer Women’s Youth National Team scout since Jan 2019, Vanessa was recently named an Assistant Coach for the US Soccer U15 National Team for the camp cycle that just finished in Portland, OR at Nike HQ. Originally from Australia, Vanessa developed roots in Northern Nevada, having played her collegiate soccer at the University of Nevada Reno during 2007-2010 seasons and serving as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at UNR and DOC of Legacy Football Club in Sparks following her playing career.

Has over 20 years of experience in athlete development, including 9 years at the NCAA Division I level. She holds a M.S. in Exercise Science & Health Promotion, specializing in Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention and Applied Exercise Science. NASM e. NASM certification and current USSF "B" License. A University of Nevada, Reno alumna, she was part of the 2006 Western Athletic Conference Championship Women’s Soccer team. Naomi Albertson, MD, Co-Owner and CEO of Nevada Sports Science is a board-certified family practice physician specializing in sports medicine, trained at Tufts University and Stanford University/San Jose Medical Center. Leveraging her background as a collegiate athlete and extensive experience with orthopedists and rehabilitation specialists, she expertly combines personal insights with medical expertise in treating musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Albertson is dedicated to guiding patients of all ages through recovery, aiming to return them to their beloved activities safely and at their peak ability. Her holistic approach encompasses medicine, nutrition, exercise physiology, and tailored exercise programming. Outside the clinic, she enjoys skiing at Mt. Rose, paddle boarding on Lake Tahoe, and gardening, reflecting her passion for an active lifestyle.
