UWS League Two Expansion in Virginia Golden Ball SA joins Mid-Atlantic Conference Metuchen, NJ – UWS League Two (UWS2) is excited to announce expansion to the Mid-Atlantic North Conference in 2022. Golden Ball Soccer Academy (Chesapeake, VA) will be adding a women’s team set to kick off this summer. “We could not be more excited and proud to be part of the United Women’s Soccer league,” said Owner/Technical Director Jonathan Baca. “Golden Ball Soccer Academy is pleased with the opportunity for the women in the Hampton Roads area to play at the highest level of competition possible with standards and true measurable goals, building players for women soccer in the USA. We plan to be a club that develops professional players year-round.” Golden Ball Soccer Academy (GBSA) also known as “Bola de Ouro,” opened in 2016 with the goal of training professional soccer players and goalkeepers. Founder and Owner, Jonathan Baca has over 40 years of combined experience in playing and coaching. Golden Ball Soccer Academy is committed to providing players with the opportunity to develop athletically and personally in a positive, supportive, and safe environment. The addition of a women’s team competing in UWS League Two provides a player pathway for their club. “We are extremely pleased and optimistic that the selection and participation of Golden Ball Soccer Academy into the United Women’s Soccer platform will be the ideal pathway for our players in achieving the highest level of competition available in the nation,” said Head Coach Matheau Hall. “We are honored to be part of UWS League Two.” Golden Ball Soccer Academy will play their home matches at Norfolk Collegiate (7336 Gramby St, Norfolk, VA 23505).
